Renzo and Lucia's village set. The village of the main characters is set on the Como's lake during the 17th Century. We found an awesome location on the lake, a protected reserve, where built the village using some real existent old stone houses and made the rest of the village, comprised the church and the dock area.

Art concept Interior Lucia's house. It was an interior/exterior set in one the houses in the village we built.

Still of Monza's sister room set. As habit in the 17Century, the walls of a house was dressed with drapes or leather for keep the warm inside the room. For have this effect we found a special vinyl wallpaper in fake leather with tremendous patterns. Once painted, aged and mounted on the walls looks like real old heavy leather, reminding some beautiful Dutch painting of 17th Century.

Still of the Bakery's set. The set was on location in Mantua, having the entrance on the square we shot. We restyled the interior space of the store set dressing it as a 17th century bakery store.

Still of the Lazaret set. WE found a wonderful courtyard in Mantua, with 17th century architecture and more similar at the documentation of the real 16th Century Lazaret in Milan. We built all the tents and set dressed the square.

Still of the Feast Hall, Don Rodrigo's Palace. The set was made inside a huge hall, lacked of any paintings or decoration at the walls, but with a awesome view of Como's lake. We invented a working progress of a very big frescos with artists, on scaffolding, painting on it during the shooting.
